Membership
SDA Kiel thrives on the commitment of its members. Whether actively involved in the team or supporting from behind the scenes, every form of participation helps make our environmental projects possible.
Anyone who supports our goals can become a member, regardless of professional background or diving experience.
Types of membership
Regular members are part of the active team, regularly participate in projects, activities, or organizational tasks, and take on responsibility within the association.
Supporting members primarily contribute through their membership fees and, where possible, through occasional participation in activities or events.
Together, we strengthen marine conservation and responsible action underwater.
How the membership process works
Complete the membership application and send it to info@sda-kiel.de or upload it via the contact form.
The board reviews the application. Once approved, the membership begins.

About us
We work on a voluntary basis and are committed to environmental and marine conservation as well as to underwater-related documentation.
This includes, among other things, the recovery of ghost nets in the Baltic Sea, underwater archaeology projects such as the discovery of the silver treasure of the Monte Olivia, and international conservation projects, including the sea turtle conservation project in Tanzania carried out jointly with Trixie.
Our work combines practical action with public outreach and is aimed equally at dedicated recreational and research divers as well as professionals from biology, nature conservation, and related disciplines.
